Articles submitted to J-LILLA will undergo two stages of review: Pre-Review for template and scope conformity, and Substantive Review of article content.
1. The Pre-Review stage is conducted by the editorial team to ensure that the article aligns with the journal’s focus, scope, and formatting guidelines. The duration of this stage is approximately 0–1 week.
2. The Substantive Review is carried out by reviewers (peer reviewers) using a Double Blind Review system. The review duration is 0–4 weeks per round. If necessary, reviewers may request another revision and re-review process, which will also take approximately 0–4 weeks.
3. After the article is declared accepted, the Copyediting process will take about 1 week. During this stage, a plagiarism check will be conducted, with a maximum acceptable similarity rate of 30%. If the similarity rate exceeds this threshold, the author will be asked to paraphrase their article.
NOTE: The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript lies with the Editorial Board, based on recommendations from the peer reviewers. Accepted and layout-edited articles will be published in the “In Progress” section of the next issue before the regular issue is released, so that they can be indexed and cited as early as possible.
The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) will be issued after the article has been declared publishable based on the reviewers’ evaluation.
